RANDOM NOTES

All strings this time, strumming, bowing, screeching, plucking, hitting and singing! What a way to close our 2009/10 season. The big news is that Serial Underground will return this fall to a new time and date. You'll learn the details very shortly, as well as our artist lineup. All I can say is that 2010/11 will bring forth unusual collaborations, some returning artists, new faces, several large-scale music theater works, and a revival of my still-in-progess piano theater piece The Gold Standard, with words by Ed Schmidt, directed by Arnold Barkus, lighting by David Lovett.

We still have room for performers to join us outdoors on Cornelia Street for Terry Riley's In C. Sign up here.

And last but not least, Célia and I usher in our 30th year together this fall. Our proudest achievment!
